Calorie needs to Lose/gain weight

Having more calories from food, than you need to maintain your weight can lead to obesity. If food is consumed in excess of requirements, the excess is converted into fat and stored in the adipose tissues. Normally adipose tissues constitutes about 10 to 15% of the body weight. In obese people, it increases upto 30%.


One can assess if one is over weight, by knowing your required body weight and estimation of the total body fat. If your body weight is 40- 50 % in excess of the required weight you are severely obese. Your total body fat should be less and no more than 30% of the overall diet and about 50% of that fat itself should be vegetable oils rich in Essential fatty acids (EFA).

Health is wealth

Happiness has got different meaning to different people. Some people think that they may live happily if they have more money. But, health counts. Without money you cannot recover health. Try to earn some money for your health. So, do not spoil your health for earning more wealth. It is enough if you earn money for your livelihood and save some money for your future.

Life is not merely to be alive but to be healthy and wealthy. You will also accept that the greatest wealth is health. Health and wealth are like two sides of a coin. Wealth buys success, career and leisure. The young man of today is ready to work for 24 hours a day, all the 7 days without break, to earn wealth. But where will it end. Can he sit and enjoy after earning wealth or will he become mad when the stress and strain make him to boil. He may collapse while earning money.

Everyday we hear about new disease. Stress is a new disease which the young generation is going to face, since earning money within a short period is the criteria for them. Many people earn wealth at the cost of their health. But, where is the time for them to enjoy the hard earned money. They have to sacrifice their entire life to recover the ill-health.

You should formulate your life in such a way to live with happiness without much stress and strain. Your career, physical fitness, relationship with others, financial position, spiritual aspect, the environment everything should be adjusted towards your health and earning little wealth.
